the story begins in 2016
some reactionaries abandon their faith
and summon the spirit of the 1950s
provide it a host, catered by Frito-Lay
this anthropomorphic cheeto espouses
jingoist rhetoric high on his pulpit
soon finds himself at the head of a nation
casting out blankets of safety for hate

emboldened by his actions
fear shed and masks removed
emerge from mommies basement
red hats and white lines blue
lines quoted word for word in
the manifestos wrote
while parked outside a walmart
proud of their vote

the story continues in regular fashion
heros in black rise to answer the call
as they drown out the voices that shout from the gutter
and harbor the victims of brutal assault
the media sides with the murderous heathens
falsely equating the two as the same
as the nazi apologists scream "legislation"
white terrorism finds more lives to claim

emboldened by his actions
the opposition rise
white power hiding behind
ted cruz and all blue lives
history won't be so kind
so choose you're factions well
